Description: |
1.
COMPUTER
TUTORS: Help seniors learn from scratch or help with common software issues
at our COA computer lab; trouble shoot basic technical problems. 2.
GAMES
AND CRAFTS: Share and learn card games, play pool, be crafty. Teach Seminars to use the Wii gaming
system, either as a weekly class or a one-off appointment; write a user-friendly Wii users manual; maybe run a
tournament!
3.
FRIENDLY
VISITORS: Share interests and time through weekly visits with seniors. 4.
GRAPHIC
DESIGN: Design program flyer & brochure. Also need a student for 2008-2009
academic year to design/ maintain the COA's monthly Bulletin Boards. 5.
GROCERY
SHOPPERS: Do weekly food shopping with or for seniors. 6.
CAR
WASH: Organize and staff a Car Wash to benefit the COA and its programs. 7.
SEASONAL
CLEANUP: Create teams of teens to help seniors with seasonal yard work and
clean up through Fall and Spring Dream Teams. Snow
shoveling as needed. 8.
CELL
PHONE INSTRUCTION: Need 2-3 students to help with a program to teach seniors
about cell phone usage. 9. Re-design our "What's New" page! Looking for a tech savvy, design
oriented student to periodically add links to this page and make it more
inviting...

Call to schedule date and
time. Please allow plenty of lead time because they operate with a monthly newsletter for the seniors to plan their activities. So your booking probably will need to be 3 weeks forward.
