Requesting a college application by calling or writing to a college admissions office is no longer the only way of obtaining a college application. Prospective students can usually download a hard copy of an application from a college web site. This hard copy can be printed, filled out, and then mailed to the college.
Additionally, many colleges, universities, and commercial and non-commercial third parties have applications available on their web sites that can be filled out online and sent to the college via the Internet. Electronic applications make completing college applications much easier.
At each site the basic idea remains the same: create, edit, proof, and submit the application to single or multiple colleges and universities in print or electronic format. Almost all sites require registration and are password protected.
