Birthday Books

The Alcott School "Birthday Book Program" is an opportunity for families to donate a book to the Alcott Library in celebration of a child's birthday, or in honor of a particular teacher or staff member. Book selections may be made from a “Wish List” created by the Alcott School Librarian, or from a pre-selected “Birthday Book Basket” of books chosen by the Librarian and found in the library. Some families prefer to specify a favorite title of their own which we are happy to receive, with the one request that it not already be a part of our collection. Donations may be made at any time during the year. A special bookplate is placed inside the front cover of the gift book recognizing the honoree and their date of birth. The program allows participants to feel pride in enriching their school library.
