Welcome to the Alcott Library Web Page!

The Alcott Elementary School Library Media Center welcomes 435 students in Kindergarten through Grade 5, a staff of approximately 80, and a group of dedicated volunteers. We are located on the second floor of our new Alcott School opened in 2004, and administer a collection of more than 15,000 books, periodicals, and multimedia resources. During the 2006-2007 school year 29,000 items were happily circulated. A center of student activity, all K-5 classes visit every week. In addition to scheduled class time, students may visit for a variety of other reasons including book exchange, to select resources for classroom projects, reading assignments, or to find information for independent research. We strive to nurture a love of reading for fun and for information. Come browse our web page and click here to see pictures of our Alcott Library!
