  • Ask For Kids Formerly known as Ask Jeeves for Kids, still allows kids to ask questions and perform Web searches. Content selected using human editorial judgment, and filtering technology. Features include a resource page for kids, free games, dictionary, atlas, biography and subject help links.
  • New Guys Read Author Jon Scieszka’s Web site filled with advice to motivate boys to read.
  • KidsClick! A subject directory (search 600+ subjects) which offers free Web sites selected by librarians for their quality, accuracy, and authority. It can help students find background information, or ideas for research.
  • KidInfo A homework and research assistant organized according to specific curriculum.
  • KidsKonnect A safe Internet gateway for kids created and maintained by educators. Search by Alphabetized List or Subject Index.
  • Quintura for Kids Search terms are displayed in interactive “word clouds” of related keywords and phrases intended to help kids narrow or broaden their searches more visually.
  • Yahooligans A web directory for kids with kids' interests in mind. Parent and teacher guides, and online safety tips are also available at this site.

  • Great Web Sites for Kids The America Library Association offers a collection of web sites for children, parents, and educators.
  • How Stuff Works Express A clear, well organized, easy to navigate site whose objective is to make learning fun by integrating science, math, technology, & reading into one entertaining, understandable package. Staff includes science, math, and language arts teachers with experience at the elementary through high school levels.
  • Invention Dimension Created by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, this site is for learning about inventors and their discoveries. Features include 'Inventor of the Week', and an Inventor Archive to browse alphabetically by inventor's last name, or by invention category.
  • POTUS (President of the United States) Information on each of the presidents with links to biographies, historical documents, audio & video files, and other presidential sites.
  • World Almanac for Kids Find up-to-date facts, statistics, trivia, games, puzzles, quizzes, and more on hundreds of topics!
  • World Flag Database The Flag Institute offers country, state, province, and national organization flags with printable graphics. Also includes information on countries such as population, currency, and capitals.
