Volunteers

The Alcott School Library Media Center relies on a volunteer network of parents and community members. Under the guidance of Library Volunteer Coordinators, volunteers are recruited and trained at the start of each school year, and a volunteer schedule is created to cover all classes for that school year. Volunteer tasks include:

  • Circulation of materials
  • Shelving and shelf reading
  • Book repair
  • Assisting students with book selection
  • Housekeeping

Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator if you would like to become a volunteer in the Library. The Volunteer Coordinator for the 2007-2008 school year is Terry Marzucco (978-287-0231). The necessary forms to become a parent volunteer in 2006-2007 are included below. Please be aware that all completed CORI forms must be submitted in person to the Alcott Office, accompanied by a photo ID. Thank you.
