Many of your projects at Sanborn will involve researching on the Internet. Many of you use the Internet at home for school and non-school communication. It is important to stay safe.

For this project you will compare two online Safety Contracts and decide which one is best for you to share with your parents and guardians. Here's the assignment:

1) Read both of the Internet Safety Contracts linked below.

2) Open a Word document, type your name and section at the top, save the file as yournamesafety.doc (e.g. annasafety.doc) and answer these questions:

1. From the first contract, which item is the most important. Why?
2. From the second contract, which item is the most important. Why?
3. As a whole, which contract do you like better? Why?
4. Write your own additional "I will..." or "I won't...." statement that reflects your additional advice to other kids about how to stay safe on the Internet.
