Goals:



Wellness:
* Appreciation and understanding of lifetime physical fitness.
* Increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance.
* Increase cardiovascular and muscular stregnth.
* Increase areas of health-related fitness.
* Develop students’ sense of security with their own body.
* Improve overall mental health.
* Reduce stress and increase energy-enriching quality of life.
* Produce a positive effect on physical development.
* Contribute to academic progress by boosting self-esteem.
* Provide students with a better understanding of the why behind movement.
* Teach safety techniques, reducing accidents outside of school.
* Provide an outlet for creativity and self-expression.
* Increase awareness of physical opportunities within the family and the community.


Attitudinal:
* Help students become more emotionally stable through an exposure to various physical activities and competetive situations.
* Help develop standards of socially acceptable behavior by establishing parameters in all activities.
* Develop leadership
* Increase sportsmanship through competition.


Motor skills:
* To develop competence in fundamental physical skills according to the individual's capacity. These skills include:
* Throwing
* Body management
* Dodging
* Striking
* Catching
