Quilts for young children in hospitals or toiletries bags for homeless shelters

Hand sewing - buttons, hems, mending rips and tears.

In this unit, COMMUNITY SERVICE LEARNING, students are empowered as they learn a new skill and then apply it to aid others. For example, creating quilts for young children in hospitals.
