CCHS

There are 9 defined areas of community service that we have used as examples for Department based Service Learning. These areas are: Aging, Bias, Crime, Environment, Hunger and Homelessnes, Literacy, Poverty, Pregnant and Parenting Teens, Substance Abuse. For each department listed below we have included an example of how you could incorporate service learning for any of the above listed areas and make a real life connection to your instruction. Under the volunteer Opportunities you will be linked to the 2volunteer web site that can help you find agencies that might support your teaching. What is Service Learning?
