Follow Ultrakey's program as you work through Lessons, Skillchecks and Tests to learn, practice and test your typing ability:
Lessons |
Lessons. Lessons are for learning. Lessons are broken into categories like: Home Row. Lessons show you the best way to type each letter and letter combinations.
When you complete a lesson you earn a green check. You must go through all steps of a lesson to a green checkmark on the lesson menu.
Every lesson you complete has a matching skillcheck. Use the blue check Skillcheck icon to switch to Skillcheck after each lesson. |
Skillcheck

Skillchecks. Skillchecks are for practice. Skillchecks provide next step practice for each lesson.
Do the skillcheck for each set of letters as soon as you finish the matching lesson. You earn a green check mark for each skill check you compete.
After you finish three sets of lessons and matching skillchecks take a Test. |
Tests |
Tests. Tests are an assessment. Tests let you know your typing speed and accuracy on the whole keyboard.
Type carefully. Speed is not important while you are learning. Going a little faster each test is a good goal; it means you are getting better. Note: When in Test mode, you cannot correct mistakes as you type; just leave the mistakes and go on. |
