With just under 25 days left in the school year, and Math MCAS in the rear-view mirror, it is time to focus on a strong finish to the school year.
Our next-to-last unit is on Solid Geometry . We will begin with work on surface area and volume of prisms and pyramids, then move to cylinders and cones. Our final unit of the year, The Language of Algebra, is an introduction to what students can expect in their 8th grade math course. We will explore algebraic expressions, like terms, distribution, and solving multi-step equations.
