Grammar Resources

Big Dog's Grammar

This humorous, laid-back site has clear information and good self-tests for each unit.

Guide to Grammar and Writing

This site is very clearly organized and has excellent quizzes. Added bonus: the site's creator, a professor at Connecticut Community College, promises to email answers to your questions in 24 hours.

Jack's Lynch's Guide to Grammar and Style

Jack Lynch is an English professor at Rutgers University and his site manages to be both humorous and informative. This is one of my favorites. One drawback: the site is organized alphabetically, which means you need to know exactly what you're looking for (i.e. run-on sentences).

Strunk and White's Elements of Style

This classic writer's companion (co-written by the author of Charlotte's Web) is now available online. One of the all-time great writing guides.
