New Today

Student Leaders will meet again Monday, Sept. 22 in Room 103 from 2:30 - 3:30.  Student homeroom reps should bring the list of Mascot ideas from their homeroom to the meeting.  We will also be beginning to plan for CMS's mock presidential election on Nov. 3rd.  Students from all grades are welcome.

 

Ongoing at CMS

Picture day is Friday, September 26th in both Peabody and Sanborn.  Forms will be distributed during homeroom on Monday, September 22nd.  Please make checks payable to Coffee Pond Photography or you may order on line.  Return the envelope and payment to the photographer on picture day.

 

Reminders for After-school Clubs, Sports and Activities 

For all after-school activities - Be sure you have a prompt ride home at the end or be prepared to take one of the late buses.  Buses leave Peabody at 3:35 & 4:30;  Buses leave Sanborn at 3:40 & 4:35.

 

Intramural soccer will begin today (Wednesday) at Peabody.  Take bus 5 over at dismissal and meet in the Peabody cafeteria.  We will play Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:30-4:30 at Cushing field located at Peabody.  In order to play you must have shin guards and cleats.  You need to have a ride home from Peabody at 4:30 or plan to take the bus.

 

Intramural field hockey meets again on Thursday, September 16th. Our games will be held at Sanborn on the upper fields.  In order to play you must bring a stick, goggles, and a mouthpiece. 

 

The CMS City Design Team is looking for ten committed students to plan and design a city of the future.  The first meeting will be Wednesday after school from 2:30 to 3:30 in the Sanborn Tech MOD.

 

Historical Movie Club will have its first meeting on Wednesday, September 24th from 2:30-3:30 in Mr. Sykes-McLaughlin's room (103)  @ Sanborn. We will be watching and discussing the movie Mulan. All students are welcome to come and enjoy popcorn, soda and good company.

 

Model United Nations will meet Thursday, September 25 in Sanborn 204 from 2:30-3:30.  Please see Mr. Robbins, Ms. Deming, or Mr. Sykes-McLaughlin with any questions.

 

CMS Student Newspaper: our first meeting will be Wednesday, October 8 from 2:30 to 3:30 in the Sanborn Main Lab. All students are welcome.
