The Concord-Carlisle girls' cross country program includes runners of all abilities - we do not make cuts. Our basic commitment is to individual and team improvement. We've consistently been among the largest and the fastest teams in Massachusetts, and our research into varieties of ice cream flavors is important to us. We want to run hard, have fun, and make friends. We may or may not be the fast girls your parents warned you about.

2008 mid-season report:

As expected, the team has been strong over the opening month, with only Newton South having finished ahead of the girls in any competition. CXXC appears headed for the DCL small-division title as of October 2, with a 6 - 1 overall record and an undefeated slate in the division. All the returners have run strongly, led by Caroline Kimball-Katz (18:37 5K at Amherst Invitational!?), with Blair Robinson (19:01 same event) close behind. Co-captains Ginny Keesler and Theresa Fritz-Endres, plus juniors Marree Budris and Meredith Lorch, are right behind the front-runners, providing a quality pack that's tough for anyone to match up with. Senior Kelsey Erickson's move into the top ten has been perhaps the biggest pleasant surprise of the season, but there have been other varsity debuts as well from juniors Casey McClellan and Jill Pickett, and also two fast freshpersons breaking into the varsity roster: Meg Parson and Olivia Meyerson. Other stalwarts have been co-captains Liza Faulkner, Franny Kimball-Katz, and Emily Berman, plus returning senior letterpersons Allie Sartori and Rachel Robey, and veteran junior Kaytee Curran. Three to watch in the second half: sophomores Kerry Nix (third varsity for CC @ EMass last year) and Katie Jesse, both getting back into form after battling injury/illness problems, and all-DCL sprinter and long jumper Kathleen Dreher, a junior who's starting to get the hang of this cross country stuff ....
